Cashless Nation: How UPI Changed Everything

Santanu Paul is a computer scientist and entrepreneur who sees technology as a force for public good. From startups to global tech firms, he has chased wicked problems in education, finance and regulation. He was the founding CEO of TalentSprint, a deeptech upskilling platform focused on inclusion. As an Independent Director at NPCI and BSE, he has seen India’s fintech infrastructure from the inside and been in closed-door conversations where public interest, policy and platforms collide. He is an alumnus of IIT Madras and the University of Michigan.

B. Sambamurthy is a career banker who believes technology can democratise finance and increase prosperity. From branch manager to heading a public sector bank, he built operating models that accelerated financial inclusion and enabled large-scale digital transformation. As CEO of IDRBT, and later as RBI nominee director and briefly non-executive Chairman of NPCI, he helped give shape to India’s electronic payments and governance frameworks. A chartered accountant, he evolved over time from being a functional specialist into an institutional leader.
