Wilfred J. Funk was a well-known American poet, lexicographer and publisher. He is credited with writing several books on vocabulary improvement, including 30 Days to a More Powerful Vocabulary, 25 Magic Steps to Word Power, The Way to Vocabulary Power and Culture and Word Origins and Their Romantic Stories. Apart from his books on vocabulary improvement, Funk is also known for writing books like Love, Life and Laughter, It Might be Verse, When the Merry-Go-Round Breaks Down and Manhattans, Bronxes and Queens.
