About the Author
As a keen student of business models, Aaditya Gutgutia likes to understand the strengths and challenges facing a business from a long-term perspective. In investment banking for sixteen years, he has been heading the regional investment banking franchise of two of the largest domestic investment banks in the country for over half a decade. He believes it a privilege only a select few have, to be able to learn the nuances of different businesses from the owners of the businesses themselves. This book captures some of his investing successes, the thought process behind the entry and exit into individual stocks and the markets in general. As a keen student of economics and of India’s capital market history, Aaditya has seen the stock exchange evolve from raucous bidding on the floor of the house to terminal-based trading, with strong regulatory controls and an ever-increasing depth of foreign and domestic institutional investors. He has been a stock market investor with a prolific track record and has churned multiple ten-baggers over the last decade and a half. He has also had his share of misses and has learnt valuable lessons from those mistakes.
