Amit Ranjan has spent his career crossing borders―just like the historical figures he writes about. A three-time Fulbright scholar and a recipient of the Endeavour and Inlaks Fellowships, Ranjan has been a visiting scholar at FIU in Miami and at UNSW in Sydney. He is the author of John Lang: Wanderer of Hindoostan… (2021), a work regarding the Rani of Jhansi’s curious Australian lawyer; as well as two poetry collections, Find Me Leonard Cohen, I’m Almost Thirty (2018) and The Knot of Juggernaut (2022). Ranjan studied at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, nd JNU, from where he obtained his PhD, and has taught at prestigious institutions in India and overseas.
